Moscow, Russian Federation (4E) – Seven in 10 Russians dislike Donald Trump far more intensely than Americans do, said a recent poll.
This astounding fact was revealed last week in a survey by state-owned Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM). This firm is one of Russia’s leading sociological and market research companies, and is the oldest polling institution in post-Soviet Russia.
The VTsIOM survey found 71 percent of Russians view Trump unfavorably while only 10 percent found him favorable. Equally bad for Trump, an incredible 77 percent of respondents consider Trump to be “self-centered” while 58 percent see him as “dangerous.”
A mere 16 percent consider Trump “trustworthy” while 34 percent see him as “strong.” Russians seem to like Trump’s childish personality, with 49 percent characterizing him as “charismatic.”
The intense dislike and distrust of Trump by the Russian masses is surprising considering unmistakeable signs Trump is truly “Putin’s poodle,” which infers a master-slave relationship.
That view has been reinforced with Trump’s inaction against Russia stemming from the indictment by Special Counsel Robert Mueller of 12 Russian military agents for their roles in hacking servers of the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton during the 2017 presidential election campaign.
Trump’s relentless refusal to criticize Putin was starkly illustrated last year when he refused to act on sanctions passed by Congress. Putin’s government interfered in the 2016 election with the explicit purpose of boosting Trump’s campaign and maligning Hillary Clinton, according to U.S. intelligence agencies.
Trump’s lackey-like behavior can also be proven by his acknowledging Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea in Ukraine, and suggesting be readmitted to the Group of 7.
