Michael Wolff’s sordid and top selling book about Trump, “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” will be made into a television miniseries in an as yet unnamed station. Under the contract, Wolff will be executive produce the series.
Fire and Fury debuted at No. 1 on the New York Times best-seller list since its release on Jan. 5 based only on the first two days of sales. In less than a week, the publisher reported more than 1.4 million hardcovers on order and 700,000 copies shipped, making it the fastest-selling non-fiction book in the company’s history.
California-based talent agency William Morris Endeavor Entertainment LLC (also known as William Morris Endeavor) has purchased film and television rights to the best seller. The deal is reported to have cost Endeavor upwards of seven figures.
The deal was cut by Endeavor Content, the financing and sales arm formed in October 2017 between sister companies William Morris Endeavor and IMG, the global sports and talent management company based in New York.

Interest in the book surged after excerpts were leaked to the press. The resulting interest in the book was so massive, the book’s publisher, Henry Holt and Company, moved up the publication date from Jan. 9 to Jan. 5.
Most bookstores sold out in minutes, with some opening at midnight to meet demand. Ebook sales hit 250,000 while audiobook sales exceeded 100,000.
