Washington, DC, United States (4E) – The human desire for free chicken nuggets could never be sneezed at – even in the Twitter world, where it has outdone President Donald Trump and former President Barack Obama in terms of re-tweets.
President Trump, @realDonaldTrump, is ranked 21st on Twitter. He has dominated the Twitter world in 2017 with 44 million followers to boot but for President Obama is the most loved.
The Fox News, @Fox News, a Trump’s favorite news service was the number one on the list of top tweeted news outlets. It is led by Sean Hannity, @SeanHannity, a Fox News host and Trump’s friend and ally.
Former President Obama may have lagged behind Trump’s following on Twitter for a reason or two but his @BarackObama is one of the three most followed, perhaps most loved. He placed behind @kattyperry and @justinbieber.
The former president’s unforgettable and most loved tweet of a Nelson Mandela quote got 4.6 million likes.
Here’s the Nelson Mandela quote: “No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion.” The tweet was accompanied by Obama photo where he greeted multi-racial babies.
The tweet, which was retweeted 1.7 million times, had earned for the former president a second place spot for the most retweeted post but not enough to topple the free chicken nuggets tweet that garnered 3.6 million retweets. No, not even the popular Trump could ebb the wellspring for man’s craving for free nuggets. Trump’s tweeter, by the way, is nowhere in the list of the most loved tweets.
Behind the free nuggets tweet, the Reuter reported, is a 16-year-old Carter Wilkerson (@carterjwm) who had launched a campaign to earn a lifetime of free supply of chicken nuggets from Wendy’s.
Although Carter was short of Wendy’s target of 18 million retweets he is assured of one year free supply of nuggets and a $100,000 donation to Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption under his name.
Twitter revealed that Trump’s critics had hounded him even in the twitter world. The following Twitter accounts are considered as the top four new US political account: @PreetBharara, a federal prosecutor fired by the president; @SallyQYates, an acting attorney general who shared the same fate with Preet Bharara; Obama’s former adviser Ben Rhodes, @brhodes; and the former photographer of Obama, Pete Souza (@PeteSouza).
