Washington, DC, United States (4E) – It’s hard telling if Donald Trump knows there isn’t a physical button he can press to launch U.S. nuclear missiles at any country of his choosing, or if his innuendo about his “nuclear button” being bigger than Kim Jong-un’s actually refers to the size of his penis, as some commentators pointed out.
Whatever the truth, this latest in a long line of childish Trump temper tantrums confirms the mental instability – some say insanity – of a man who will lie about anything and think nothing of it. Or who can’t separate fact from fiction.
This latest in an unending train of infantile exchanges with Kim began on New Year’s Day when Kim issued another threat to the West, while talking peace with South Korea.
“The entire United States is within range of our nuclear weapons, a nuclear button is always on my desk. This is reality, not a threat,” said Kim.
“This year, we should focus on mass-producing nuclear warheads and ballistic missiles for operational deployment. These weapons will be used only if our society is threatened.”
To which Trump responded on Jan. 2:
“Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!”
Trump’s tweet came on the same day North Korea announced it would re-open a long-closed border hotline, which it did on Jan. 3. South Korea has proposed Jan. 9 as the date for talks with the North to discuss cooperation at the 2018 Winter Olympics next month in PyeongChang, South Korea. North Korea hasn’t respond.
